Bodie’s first glimpse of the man assigned to be his partner knocked him for six. Cowley must be mad. The man was quite a sight in worn leather boots and the faded denim painted onto thin, well-muscled legs. A loose fitting shirt, seemingly missing several buttons, hid underneath a garish red and black plaid jacket. The fallen angel’s face was surrounded by a halo of wild, auburn curls. Full lips softened into a confident grin revealing a chipped tooth. The smile creased a battered cheek and lit a mischievous fire in knowing green eyes. Sodding bastard. The attraction was immediate.
