Dick,
I had a small encounter with bob last night(tonight)
about closing the theatre.
Because they had rehearsed in the gym, i started
checking doors and turing off some lights when i knew
they were wrapping up. When they were done, there was
about 5 mins, most people were out, and i had the
small lights in the gym up, so you can see, and yes i
did start soon after they were done turing off the big
gym lights.
Bob got upset, and after everyone (except for a few
people in the theatre) were gone, bob was like i
wanted to rehearse tonight, cant i stay? and i told
him he could but we would have to bring the piano in
the theatre, because i was leaving soon and had to
make everything was closed.
He was like well i never get kicked out like this at
lyric. i told him he was not getting kicked out, i
just had to close the gym area. He was very mad at
this point and he was like what do i have to answer to
you now, and i told him no....and he was like last i
knew dick was my boss. And then he critized a few
things about my stage managing technics and how he was
not allowed on stage during scarlet. I was like no,
but it is my responsiblity to make sure everything is
closed. He was continuing saying he knew how to close
up the theatre. (but i dont believe he knows all of
the closing percedures, correct me if i am wrong) and
i dont know about you but i dont like the emails from
leo saying we didnt close something.
He was like then i am going to the church and stormed
out... I just wanted to let you know because he
mentioned talking to you. I dont mind letting him
stay, but not in the gym, there are too many things
that could be left on/open that I or you are
responsiable for. (I am not staying for extra hours
just to let him play the piano)
what should be done about this? I did not feel
comfortable. I think he will be talking to you at some
point i dont know, but that is my side of the story
