The seminar room hosts a collection of books, largely from retired professors clearing out their offices. Above the computer is a collection of the "Dictionary of the History of Ideas." It has four volumes and an index, and like many multi-volume sets, it lists the first and last entries on the spine of each volume. It seems to me that this dictionary set is more evocative than most:

I: Abstraction to Design Argument
II: Despotism to Law, Common
III: Law, Concept of to Protest Movements
IV: Psychological Ideas to Zeitgeist

I noticed this during my first semester at UMD, and now that I've finished my last philosophy paper, I'm a little surprised that I never did turn any of these into a paper title, or even topic.
