Not much going on. Went to the movies with Shorty and Amanda last weekend. Working nonstop and surgery on Friday. *nervous*
Directions: Comment to this post and I will give you 5 subjects/things I associate you with. Then post this in your LJ and elaborate on the subjects given.
Angela:
Cooking - I love it. Its my passion, I went to school for it. I graduated cum luade from school and work hard to perfect my craft, still pisses me off that I can't get everything right.
Cosplay - On of my hobbies. My interest is a little waning due to finacial and personal reasons but I likes it anyway. Did a lame one in 2001 and stopped. Then I really got into it around 2004-5. But as my career is moving forward I am finding it harder to do it. So, I am cutting back.
Anime - I likes it. I still download now and again but lately I just stream it. I remember waking up early to watch Sailor Moon before school. Gah, I even made a list of how many series I have watched and its in the triple digits. Jeez, I am a nerd.
Manga - Love it. I can barely go into a store without making a beeline to the manga section. I have well over a hundred books to my collection and I get a little excited when I series I want has a new issue out. I keep up to date with a few series online and I usually favor it over anime most of the time.
Fat Maids- LOL. Katsucon joke. Was at masquerade and the maid cafe people were seated behind me. Oy, some of them were obnoxious. Some were fat, some were fat and obnoxious. Not loving it. Despite them being annoying jailbait it just didn't do it for me. So later, we were talking about it in the room and I uttered the quote. "Little Fat maids just don't do it for me" Apparently it was the quote of the night. Whoo-hoo.
Charles:
Gurren Lagann - One of my anime fandoms I am saddened to see has gotten overhyped. I loved it in the beginning, Gainax does it again, it is great. The characters, the story, the lines. Oy.
Nekocon- A now local con. The first con I ever went to was Nekocon 2001. Oh man, it was an interesting experience. I remember the first time I saw cosplay and sneaking off in the middle of the night to meet Dom from Megatokyo. Its an okay con that I go to for free since I can just drive there in 20 minutes. Whoot.
Jet Set Radio- A cosplay I was tricked into. I managed to get it done in three days and I wasn't very happy with the results. Not really interested in doing it again. A neat game though, still haven't had a chance to play yet.
Vampire Knight- Try as I might, I like this show/manga. The story confounds me at some points but I love the character designs and would like to cosplay from it again with a bigger group. I love Shiki, I have a thing for pissy yet sensitive characters.
Anime Boston- Aka Line Con '08. Despite the lines I liked the con because I got to spend time with Jeff and it is where he asked me to be his girlfriend. It is also my only long distance con so I have to save up. Excited for the Nana group thats going on. Yay for being Ren, the tragic hero.
