This is the second funniest picture known to man: I like to call it "Spontaneous Human Consumption, Revisited." This is
midnightcoder chomping towards Angela.
Of course, while it is funny as all heck, it doesn't quite compare to the original: this is
midnightcoder and
blufish2004. The look on Dan's face is priceless.
Hmmm, my boyfriend likes to randomly take bites out of people's shoulders... ;)

In other news, something strange happened earlier this week. I got a voicemail from Mary, the HR coordinator at my previous job (you know, the ones who
laid me off a year and a half ago?). They have a new marketing director (
which I already knew), and it just so happens he is looking for a new marketing coordinator. And apparantly, I was the first person Mary thought of. Mary's an absolute sweetheart and a great person to work with, so it was nice to hear from her and know she had thought of me. But I was appalled because she had left this on my voicemail at work!! What if I had actually been there when she called? What if my manager overheard me talking with her? That would have been so freakin' awkward. Anyway, I sent her an email that basically said: "I'm flattered that you thought of me for your open position. However, I truly enjoy working at I- and have no intentions of leaving, particularly since I have been here for a year and a half and know the business well." All the truth, my friends. I've had three jobs in the past four years - now that I have finally found one that I enjoy and am good at, I don't plan on giving it up and being the newbie again - because let's face it, I was at R- for less than a year and that was almost two years ago, so almost all my knowledge of that business is gone. I really enjoy the fact that I now know a lot about my particular line of business, and that people come to me with questions that I know the answers to.
Believe it or not, this is not the first time I've been offered a job from a former employer. About a year or so ago, after I'd been with I- for a little while, my mom told me they were looking for another marketing coordinator at her office (I had worked there for several years during high school and college on a part-time basis) and wanted to know if I was interested. I gave the same response then as I did now. It was a shame because I would have jumped on that opportunity if it had been offered earlier, like while I was at either of my first two über-sucky jobs. Oh well. Apparantly, now that I am at a job I really like and am not actually looking for a new job, I am in high demand. Go figure.

sunniski is coming over tomorrow. I think I am going to introduce her to the fine art of croquet. :) Just so happens I have this big huge lawn in front of my building. It's got a little bit of an incline to it but I think it will be a very admirable croquet course.
