Things I'm Diggin'
Haven't done this in a while... here's what I'm currently diggin'. Hooray for bulleted lists...!
- My air conditioner. I actually had a fairly old one that didn't work. My awesome landlords replaced it with a brand-new one, complete with timer and remote control. As
drakin769 would say: BOO-YEAH! - Carrots with hummus. Not only a yummy snack, but ridiculously healthy.
- I finally finished reading The DaVinci Code. Now I know what all the fuss is about. So yeah, who saw that ending coming? (Not me...)
- I'm now a full-fledged member of Netflix. I'm a one-out-at-a-time kinda gal. (OK, you, get your mind out of the gutter!!)
- Trader Joe's. I freakin' love that store. Wasabi peas, anyone? How about some quinoa (...
melancon)? - My mom threw the family's first Cavalcade of Meat (aka barbecue) on Father's Day. And she had Omaha Steaks... ohhhhh yeahhhhhh.
- Did I tell you I got a pair of hermit crabs? They are sooooo cute (in a weird, scaly, crustacean kinda way). I named them Manny and Papi :)
And last but not least... - I had lunch with a couple of former co-workers at R- recently. They had the good fortune to tell me that A-, my nasty ex-boss, is no longer there. Basically they bought out another business and decided to hold on to that company's marketing manager instead of A- - probably because she got even nastier after I was let go. Anyway, even though they offered her a pretty decent "golden parachute," she turned up her nose at it and just walked out... how typical. Thank God I work at I- now where people are normal and there is no drama.
