K ALS!!
As many of you may know, my "favorite" charity is the ALS Association of Massachusetts. They are doing a promotion with Shaw's/Star Market supermarkets and Osco Drug as a fundraiser. Since I will not be able to participate in the annual walk-a-thon as I usually do (I'll be in Arizona at the time), I encourage you to make a donation at one of those stores as shown below. I usually shop at Shaw's anyway so you'll definitely see me buying a bunch of these baseballs over there.
From July 12th through August 5th, Curt’s Pitch for ALS is proud to be launching the “Pitch’n to Win” campaign with Shaw’s Supermarkets, Star Market and Osco Pharmacy. As part of the campaign, customers will be asked to donate $1.38 or $3.38 at checkout. In appreciation of their donation, they’ll receive a paper “STRIKE” or “OUT” baseball to write their name on. The baseballs will then be displayed on the windows of the supermarket. (see here for homepage)
