So far I have raised $165 for
the ALS walk on Saturday. (The website only says I have $50 cause that's all I've received online. There doesn't seem to be a utility for inputting offline donations, of which I've gotten quite a few.) This is well over the halfway mark of my rather big goal of $300, so I am happy. :)
Jamie Cullum came out with a new CD yesterday called "Catching Tales." I would not have known about this, except for the fact that I happened to be online downloading music anyway. So I downloaded the entire album for a mere $9.90. This beats Amazon by a buck - and that's not including shipping, and having to wait for it. Besides, all I'd probably do with the CD is rip it onto my computer and media player, anyway (that's what I did with "Twentysomething"). So I am happy that I made the right decision. The new songs are actually very good. This album seems a little more upbeat than the previous one.
Has anyone seen this story about
the lady who just had her 16th child? Talk about a baby factory. It's insane, I tell you. I saw this family on a special on TLC or Discovery once, and it's disgusting how they keep having as many children as God is going to give them. Um, hello, God is going to KEEP giving you children unless you stop THAT right now! On the TV special they kept talking about the ways they had to save money and time, but I cannot imagine how it is feasible. Especially considering the mom doesn't work. I don't get it. Oh well.
Time to go put the laundry in the dryer (sheesh... does the laundry ever end??) and then go make dinner.
