Whenever I express to people my fear of the operation, they often respond by ‘they give you lots of medicine’ or ‘it doesn't hurt that bad’. I’m not afraid of the pain. Honestly, that doesn’t bother me at all. Tomorrow, in the morning, I get my wisdom teeth removed, and I’m not the lest bit excited. Terrified would be a better term. Something is just scary about being unconscious, not in control of everything, and having a doctor, who I’m only meet once, put knives in my mouth. How would that not be scary? he could fuck something up -- and being a trombone player, i'd rather not risk having my mouth being cut open. Supposing everything goes okay, i'll be too sore to play for a little bit.
