A very lengthy book. It's not like I haven't finished books before, but I don't have a good record of it. I tend to start them and then lose interest or just don't have the motivation to sit down and read. The past several books though have changed this! "Wicked," "Sweeney Todd," "Chocolat," and a couple others.
And now "Public Enemies." Great book; highly recommend it. It shows just how much of an airhead Purvis was among other agents. Laughable, smack-your-head-in-disbelief at the stupid mistakes they made. Yeah, the justice branch has come a ways and improved since then, but there's still dumb asses in the bunch. It was easy to see why Purvis was in Hoover's "dog house."
Alvin Karpis - god bless him for lasting that long. haha That was one smart guy.
Final count for seeing PE in theatres aka Warren - 9. Not bad. More than I had planned on. Guess I didn't expect to enjoy it so much and become so obsessed with Dillinger.
I got a package from Barnes and Noble a couple of weeks ago of Dillinger books that I'm excited to dig into. Next book is "The Dillinger Days." Got a DVD too of archival footage and shit that I have yet to watch as well. Possible screencaps of the suave Dillinger in the future! :)
As far as my personal life goes (un-related to Dillinger, haha), I don't really care for where I'm at right now. I don't like WSU. I'm so unsure of what I actually want to go to school there for - right now, I'm going after a BA in Music Education and the goal is to have a teacher's license when I graduate; a substitute teacher's permit as soon as next spring/fall. Dude, if I worked as a substitute part time, I could get anywhere from $100-200 a day! Speaking of work, I hate my job right now. I really thought I was going to like it; it sounded perfect for me. Don't have to interact with any customers, type the whole time, sit the whole time (which is sooo nice, I'll admit), listen to my ipod, only have to work 4-hour shifts, and get paid $14 an hour. I didn't realize how much I'd miss actually talking to other people/friends. Plus, it's boring/monotonous - numbers and a few letters. I can never get all that comfortable, which makes my back and wrists hurt. Now, I hate whenever I have to go to work. My designated days off are Wednesday and Sunday, but they've been having sign-up sheets for volunteers who want extra days off since mail volume is low, and I'm all over them. For example - I haven't worked since Thursday. I signed up for Friday and Saturday off, and with Monday being a holiday, they got enough people to sign up to come in so I didn't have to go in for a regular shift. I never look forward to going to work anymore. It sucks. :/
Anywho. That's about it in the life of me for now. Dude, anyone have Skype?
