selling out
i never expected that selling out to work in the oil industry would only get me 5 bucks an hour.
then again, i never really expected to sell out to the oil industry in the first place.
and certainly not the vegetable oil industry.
but as of...well, sometime soon, i'm going to begin my new career manufacturing diesel from used vegetable oil. and doing cancer research, drug testing, and other assorted microbiological pursuits- whatever my new employer, the mad scientist, is into.
my first job, ironically, is driving to indiana in a french-fry-fueled pickup to collect a bunch of storage tanks. for those of you in illinois and indiana, i'll be home for the weekend of the 10th and in indiana shortly thereafter.
i'm excited. it's kind of a crazy job, or series thereof, but they're different enough from what i'm doing right now that i expect to be both busy and interested in what i'm doing. both of which are somewhat unusual these days.
