ER has ended

and I cried and I cried, laughed, grinned, listened, watched, and then I cried some more.

The return of Rachel really was the magical part for me, connecting with Carter as Mentor, just completes the circle so well. The sad story of the mother and her baby girl twins, and the beginning waking up Archie was a great homage to the original story. Great details, story lines, faces, people, kids grown older... it was magical in its way.

It was also hard to watch one of the stories, of the elderly woman who was in the final stages before death. It was like watching my Mom at her end, and that will always be hard to watch on tv.

And like M*A*S*H years ago, I will miss the new stories, and I feel like it was an end of a great tv storytelling era. And I look forward to catching reruns to watch some of the episodes I missed, or don't remember anymore.
