Mineral Makeup

from Everyday Minerals has arrived.

It arrived day before yesterday according to the USPS mail tracker, I found it yesterday in the mail box, and today finally took some time to put it on, at least the foundations, to see which color came closets to my natural skin color.

Of the three, two were very close to my skin tone, so I washed up my face, toned it with witch hazel, and put on my usual daily cream with the good UV protection (I wear it to faires, and haven't burned yet!). I then put one color on one cheek area, and the other color on the other cheek, keeping the bottles above my sink on the matching side, so I could remember later what I put where. I made sure to "buff well", like online instructions for mineral makeup say is important. I also tried the plum color on my cheeks, but it is a bit darker than I am used to, so that will be something I will use sparingly. I haven't put on anything else.

So... after a few hours of it on, it feels like nothing is on my skin! This is good, because I normally hate *HATE* the feel of makeup on my skin. No sting or tingling, either. I will see tonight how it has affected my skin if any. I've been breaking out anyway, just because of monthly influences, so I will keep that in mind.

Otherwise, I think I got lucky, and found my foundation color in the first attempt :-D. Oh, and the lip balm color I got, bamboo, is an almost exact match for my actual lip color! So, it just gives a bit of a shine and sparkle, but not too much. This is good.

Tomorrow, if all goes well tonight, I will actually put on full face coloring before heaing out of the house, and see how it looks out of doors.

Heh... I am finally getting "girly" again with makeup. Part of me is rather amused. Well, off to dinner.
