Brain stuck on idea...

My head is driving me nuts! The sinuses feel blocked, but I am blowing out very little. And the meds are not doing much to relieve the pressure that is mounting. My whole body feels run down and sleepy from this, and it is driving me batty!

I just wanted to sleep, so I tried the nap, but while my body was happy to lie down, the brain would not shut up (I hate that sometimes).

So, I have a question for you sewing folks out there... would you be willing to pay for a weekend retreat to just sew costumes? Maybe at a good hotel or resort?

I have come to realize that while Costume College is great for learning new things, I really want to learn how to sew & fit costumes better. I've got decent skills, but I know they could use improvements. And CoCo doesn't have that segment that I want, which is to learn, hands on, the finer points to fitting a garment. Yes, there are great demos (I'm sorry I missed demode_kvc's class last time), and there are workshops where corsets are made in a day, but I want to just sew costumes, and do it with other sewers to socialize, and improve my skills at the same time, hands on. For me, demos and lectures only go so far.

So, I've been pondering either a sewing retreat weekend in this state, or saving up huge amounts of money to go to Oregon and take a weeklong sewing workshop on some aspect of sewing, like fitting or tailoring at Palmer/Pletsch. The biggest issue there... is that the workshop would be for modern sewing styles, not historical costuming.

So, that's what my mind got stuck on during my nap this afternoon. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
