Fabric store

It isn't often I find a new fabric store online that captures my interest. But tonight, I have found one that does.

NY Fashion Center.

Not because it has the cheapest prices... sadly, they are not always cheap. But they have fabrics in the basic types of silk, wool and linen in a variety of colors, and types that I don't find very often, or when I do it is more expensive. And their online viewing swatch system is wonderful! It rolls over the color you are pointing at, then you can view that image in detail! I like seeing the various weaves in great detail, or seeing how slubby the hankey weight linen is not.

I want some of their silk/wool blends, and they have silk knit jersey, and even 100% silk double faced satins! I only wish their duchess silk was 100% silk, but I am in lust for some of this stuff. Like their silk zibeline, which appears to be a satin faced twill weave. Ooohhh.

And if you want PVC fabric, they have that, too. And alencon lace even.

And their fabrics are all re-orderable. And they provide a portion of each sale to breast cancer research. How very nice!

Someday, when I travel to NY, I must visit this store in person. Until then, and until I have lots of money to spend, I think I will just have to drool over my keyboard.
