Black and white fabric hunt continues

Well, I have found the kind of fabric pattern I would like... but, it is in the chenille fabrics, which is heavier than I want, since it will be on a French farthingale. But the boldness of the black pattern is what I want, even if the style is a bit more modern than is appropriate. I can deal with the rayon, and poly, but I wonder if the white is really that beige.

M8255 Domino 62% rayon,20% poly,18% cotton washed chenille jacquard damask pattern. Thick and super soft. 16" repeat. 54" wide.

Then there is this one, which I had seen before. While cotton would be breathable, "multi-purpose Cloth" makes me wonder what it really is, and being a print is not really what I want.

100% Cotton multi- purpose Cloth. Traditional Duralee Damask print Fabric. 54" wide.

I hope what Cilean has will work for me. Otherwise, it will be that 100% poly stuff in L.A., which while decent, really B&W, well... it is still dead dino. Man, I am darn picky.

And I really should post the photos from my fabric hunt in LA. Probably on Sunday, or maybe Saturday night after Academia.

{time passes while I continue hunt...}

Well, I've fallen for a red and gold fabric that is nowhere near my list of Must Haves, but I covet it anyway. And sorry but I am not linking, since I am pondering bidding on it.

I have found that if I don't specify "black & white", I actually find a lot more "possibles" in my fabric hunt, I find things like this one which is on sale for really cheap, or this one, which is black and gold, not white, which kind of throws off the whole idea I was going for, but they are nice and relatively suitable. Except I am not the queen, and they kinda scream "I am the Queen" by being gold like that. Especially the first one being all shiny. Hmmm... maybe a modernish coat? Eh, no, not for me.

And man... there are a number of cotton quilts that are close, but reversed in color. Or maybe I could paint my own with a stencil? Right, and drive myself mad!

Well, I guess the hunt continues...
