There is nothing quite as frustrating as not knowing the new bus schedule for Cam, the one the new bus driver has decided she wants to do, without telling anyone who has to wait for their kids.
Why is this frustrating now? Because now, because of some unknown to me change in their rules, K kids are not allowed to be walked home by the older kids, they MUST be walked home by a parent/guardian. So, now I have to either leave my daughter at home in her bed (since Cam gets home during the nap time normally) by herself while I get Cam. Or I have to take her with me, keeping her up later, and dealing with her playing in the mud while she is bored. Now mud is annoying but washable. But trying to get her to NOT PLAY IN THE F******G STREET to play in the water/mud puddles in the hard part. She screams, fights, sits down in more mud and has a tantrum because I won't let her play in the street where cars are passing at high speeds.
I could also sit in a car with her crawling all over while we wait, but that defeats the purpose of the bus, which was to save on gas traveling back and forth. As much as my son loves riding the bus I may have to just pick him up from school... although that has its own headaches (lots of cars, and still the main street by the school is closed for final paving). I am not sure what to do, but I cannot handle the stress of this with Maurelle day in and day out.
Ok, I just called the school transportation supervisor, and found out the new driver was NOT informed of the notes from parents allowing their children to walk home with other kids. So, Cameron will be allowed to walk home with the neighbor kid. I will meet him tomorrow to find out the name of the other boy, in case Niko is sick or something, and add his name to the list, and to make sure it is ok with the bus driver. This should help me out again, as I can't be at two places at once, and Maurelle needs her nap on time.
And boy howdy does he have older girls screaming for him already... literally! I was trying to talk with the bus driver while the kids were unloading, and the bus across the street was waiting for Cam's bus (that no passing while a bus is unloading law). While I was talking a large group of young girls was screaming CAMERON, CAMERON!!! from the other bus... over and over..., it was embarrasing to me, and loud. So loud and annoying that the bus driver of the girls bus decided they had better move along even tho' Cam's bus was still unloading. I don't think Cam even understood what was going on, other than I told him to wave hi to his friends. omg, is he going to have girls all over him when he gets older (sigh). Yep, he's oblivious to them. He doesn't even remember that going on right now as he is into his wii.
Oh, and Cam is going to get an award tomorrow from his teacher for the semester. It will be at 1:00pm, in his classroom, so I won't be able to get Oji until after that ceremony. I just have to be back in time to get him from the bus stop.
