Sewing things to do for Kearney

Nov 03, 2007 16:56

I've been reading the great progress madwomansattic has been making in her prep for Kearney Faire. This has inspired me (thank you), as I've been lollygagging around doing squat on the sewing end, although I have been filling some of my time with computer stuff like scanning images.

Well, I think I need a to do list on my sewing for this week, so I can get all the little things I want to do for Kearney Faire done in a timely manner (and hopefully not forget something).

So here's the list.
  • add drill interling, with pad stitching in the collar area, to my wool and silk partlet.
  • prepare the embroidery partlet project onto a slate frame
  • adjust my kirtle and gown straps to fit better
  • shorten my placard to fit the gown better
  • fix the upper billiments of my French hood and remove the chin strap
  • make the silk taffeta fore sleeves
  • restring my pearls
None of them are absolutely a must do (except the slate frame project which will give me something to do), but to have them done would make my world a little better at Kearney.

And the idea of making a muff sounds good, but if it is that cold, I will put on my surcoat and gloves.
