Cameron's teacher came to my car, where I wait until Cam gets into class since my toe is still injured. She had Cameron in hand. She told me she was very proud of Cam, who had made friends with another child who was a bit of a problem kid. While the other kids shied away from this one child, our son had made friends, and often encourages the problem child to make better choices, and is helping to steer that child into being a better kid.
The teacher was very proud (I did say that, didn't I), and even mentioned that telling me was choking her up a bit. We both told Cameron what a "great job" (with thumbs up) he was doing, and that we both were very proud of him. I have tears in my eyes knowing that we have raised him well so far, and that his very helpful nature and friendly attitude is shining through.
So, I had to come home and write this down right away. And he will be getting a nice treat today when he gets home, and more big hugs from me.
