Well, a few of my afternoon plans had to get shelved for a few days.
I was going to take in the big pile of cans to the recycling center while
docryder watched the kids this afternoon... but Maurelle, in her desire for some lap time with me while I was using my hand weights, decided my hurt toe (the whole left foot set of toes) was the perfect place to launch herself into my lap... with her sandles on. OOOUUUUCCCCHHHHHHH!!!!
I wanted to use various bad words, but I didn't. I wanted to hurt her, but I didn't (who could hurt her with those pretty blue eyes of hers looking so worried at mommy). I ended up getting an ice pack instead and shouting in my head.
While I went out to get Oji, I also wanted to go buy the Quicken program at the local store, but I didn't want to walk any more than I had to. So, that will have to wait. Which it turns out a good thing, as the various Windows versions have a new release, but the Mac version (only one type so far I've found) will have to wait for some unknown future date when the latest OS release is done. I may just get the Windows Home & Business version and have it run on Parallels (which I need to update that as well).
So, I am sitting her catching up on my emails instead, and maybe I will take a nap, as I am tired. I didn't sleep very well last night at all, my mind tossing on various medieval gardening ideas from the books I've been reading, or French hood ideas, as I did get the coif portion completed (mostly) last night. My mind is turning ideas for decorating the "paste" area, as some FHs have beaded/pearled areas that are rather pretty. I also have been taking photos, but I haven't downloaded them yet. Maybe this weekend, when I get the card filled or the whole FH done.
And getting back to the toes... hun, I think maybe we *should* get those steel toed boots for me, although how I will walk in them when my toes don't like the light houseshoes I've been wearing... but it is something to think about.
