I got a reply from Gay Linn, her replies are in italics...
I am writing as I was wondering if you are now a member of St. Gyles?
Yes and no. During the year I do approx 3 gigs plus their winter feast with them as Queen. It is fun and not nearly as stressful as the REP gig I do every spring. They treat me well and are a great bunch of people.
...
So, what's up with this?
Read the paragraph above. Theodore approached me in 2006 and invited me to come play at Dunsmuir, and I was free that weekend so I did - I did last years winters feast and two with them so far this year with one more in September and then of course winters feast again in November. It really is fun and I get so much of the strict/scheduled/historically accurate stuff from doing Southern that it is delightful to just go and, well, have fun.
And is Teddy running this group, as I am understanding it? Or am I seriously that out of things on faire.
He still owns the group but he has guild masters who run it. He is still there, and still has his fingers in the pot per se, but in general, he has others who run the guild. He hasn't changed, but I have and am able to see him in a different light than all those years ago when we went separate ways. He is a dear and means well and in general just wants to do the thing he loves...it is all good.
Ever curiously your friend,
Take Care...
Gay Linn
