Fabric Sale on Linens

Jun 02, 2007 15:31

Just a heads up...

I had a wild hair intuition thing, and went to the fabric store today. Joann's Fabrics is having 40% off on linens right now, and I managed to find some linen/cotton (60%/40%) blends in solid colors, natural & white at 4.80/yd (54“) (after discount). Also saw some 100% linen, linen/rayon blends (50/50), linen with embroidery, and even yucky poly/rayon blends that I do not recommend using. I bought up nearly 18+ yards of the linen/cotton (2/3 natural, 1/3 white) to use for linings and a couple of smocks/shirts. You will have to look at the bolt ends for fiber content, but the prices was decent (although some I can find online for slightly cheaper) for the fabric quality I found. YMMV depending on your store and the selection remaining.

It has been a long time since I've bought fabric at the store, for me. Now, I can start using up the rest of my stash fabrics for my next kirtle and loose gown set.
