handsewing is a bithc
I am exhausted. I stayed up very late last night, in the hopes of finishing this thing tonight... but no go on that. Too much handwork left to do, 10 buttons that require sewing down two bars, 11 sets of hooks and eyes, and the sleeves into the doublet armhole.
My eyes are swimming, my arm and back are sore, and my mind shut down sometime around 11.
But for all this, it really is looking good as it comes together. I only wish I could show people in my area what it looks like on a person, not just laying around as pieces. That will be something I will miss, what this ends up looking like on the person himself.
I need to go crash now.
