Ok, I really like the show. I really did enjoy the "soap opera" style as a friend said, not that I am much of a fan of soaps. But it was enjoyable seeing the various historical elements pulled together, even if some of the history made me cringe a bit. The costuming was my only major distraction, but the story, the music, and the actors pulled me into the show. I also enjoyed the setups for later storyline aspects, and even the interesting touches, like the eating of the pomegranate for fertility (AND it happens to be Katherine's badge).
I may just get this series on DVD if we don't get Showtime.
