...was not enough. It was a good salad with tuna, hardboiled eggs, green stuff & cheese, but my stomach is not happy. It is not full, and I don't know what will make it happy, other than carbs I am not allowed to eat yet. I will have my snack by midafternoon, as I don't think this food in my tummy will last long. (

And the Almond Blast I googled looks good, although I may just use plain yogurt and a little milk instead of soy products. But it will have to wait till Phase 2, when fruits are allowed back in.

Having any limits on what kind of veggies one can eat do not understand veggies in how they work with the system.
One of the biggest pit falls of SBD is faulty issues with the glycemic index and how it compensates for the ratio and rate of blood sugar consumption/insulin production.
Btw, one of the places I've been hanging out lately and reading, taking different things from the site and applying them is here -http://healthletter.tufts.edu/

And since I am on this diet per my doctor's orders, I will continue with this diet plan as ordered.

Veggies, lots of carrots, brocoli (if you don't get bad gas) califlower, cucumbers, tomatoes and mushrooms. I've started including grilled squash and zuccini too. Baby carrots are JUST amazing how full one can get from them. GREAT for that need the need to MUNCH. (which I do have that need)
The other thing I have been doing is making my own vingarettes for dipping and splashing across my veggies. At work I have a bowl of munchies with me. (And am very protective of them, folks like to steal my veggies).

And yeah, we've been doing homemade vinegrettes as well. Rob made an interesting one with olive oil, pepper, and garlic and something else this afternoon for our lunch. Very tasty, just... even with a little low fat cheese and lots of vegies, tuna, eggs... I just wasn't feeling properly full, although I was full enough I couldn't eat anymore. It's an odd feeling.

I found that high protein foods are what makes me feel full.

And the proteins in the meats, they are doing alright once I eat. It's the time right before I eat when I am getting funny feelings, until meal is ready again for me to eat.
