Morning thoughts...

Yeah, it really sucks to be up this frickin early on a Sunday morning, after a late night gaming. I have my son to thank for crawling into our bed at 0'dark in the morning, and then my inability to go back to sleep once he got chased into his room. Why my mind can't just shut up and go back to sleep like Rob can do on a drop I don't know.

So, I figured I would get on the computer and print out some SCA award scrolls to copy onto good paper stock at Kinko's later while I am out, so I actually have something interesting to paint up. I also thought I would look up prices and maybe buy some more art supplies that I need, like drafting vellum for pattern paper as I am almost done with my last roll, and the silver gouache that I forgot to get for myself last time, since Caid likes to use silver for their crests thingy.

On the traveling front, I may try to travel to the L.A. area for the L.A. Baronial on the 30th, maybe. I just have this feeling tho that Hanford Faire may require a dress rehearsal on the 1st, the Sunday right after, and I won't know that for sure until the 16th at the IoM meeting. At least, they better have a dress rehearsal like St. Henry's usually does. If not, then I don't know how Hanford faire this year is going to end up. So if they do, I won't be going, and if they don't, then I am inclined to go... but then may not if my gown for Hanford isn't close to done by then.

And later on the traveling front, our whole family may head south to San Diego area for Collegium Caidus at the end of October. Since Rob's close friend Robert and his family will be moving there at the beginning of October, that will give Rob and Cam a chance to visit and play while I go off to play in a few classes, and maybe have a place to stay on the cheap. Still have to pay for gas, but at least that is coming down in price. I would much rather go as a family, then just by myself.

And maybe I can get time to see the Italian painting I've been wanting to view close up (Portrait of a Florentine Noblewoman 1540, Bronzino?) at the SD Museum of Art. I've been wanting to make this one up for a long time, and already have the fabric in blue to do so. I just need a good copy to work from, and if I am in the area, may as well enjoy the museum to view it, and maybe pick up a copy at the museum store.

Well, back to computer work...
