My iron arrived tonight!!! woohoo!
Some of the styrofoam packaging in the original box fell to small itty bitty pieces and chunks upon opening, so I had to unpack it outside lest I get itty bitty stuff that Maurelle will want to eat tomorrow off the furniture and floor. I cleaned it up, took off the other wraps, and took it into my sewing room and promptly read the manual. Not much of a manual, but enough info that I couldn't wait to start it up...
... but I can't. The best spot for the main base to rest upon is next to the ironing board, near the unused outlet on the plastic tambour I have sitting there already. But the plastic will melt if I start up the boiler unit, so I have to find something else to set the base on that is heat resistant.
Bah!! I want to play with it now!!
Well, tomorrow I go shopping to find something suitable that isn't expensive.
And I go shopping tomorrow to get myself fitted for a good bra as well. JC Penney is offering a bra fitting service this week, and as I know they carry larger sizes, I am going to give them a try and hope they are nice people, not ones who snub those of us with less than perfect bodies like other stores at that mall do. I may even see what they have for fall clothing, as I need more than I have time to sew up. Silly things like costuming projects seem to get in the way.
