Welcome to, uh, membership! I recommend the TI and CA subscriptions, too, incidentally, but the BoD meeting notes are very, very redundant anymore. There's a list available where they're regularly published.
The CA is concentrated on one topic per issue, but the TI has several articles on various topics of interest to Scadians, along with reviews, editors' letters, etc.

lol...not so much as to what is wrong with them...except from a personal level. For a bit of persepctive, Caid used to be a principality of the West MANY years ago. Each year, there is the West/Caid war, and over the years there has been a bit of antagonism betwixt the two.
Westies see Caidans as stuck up city folks that dont camp, and Caidans think of Westies as rustic old fogies with a superiority complex.
Ive been a herald in both places, official and non, and get along with most local groups. But beware of the politics....its worse than the Camarilla ever was when you get deep into it.

Is there still a West/Caid war? I hadn't seen it in the calendar yet, but they don't have next years listings up in the CAID website.
I've not met too many people outside of my barony yet, but I am not surprised there is lots of politics. What little I read on the net has shown me such.
And are you still involved in the SCA? I've been wanting to travel north for an event, if I can find one that I don't have something else I am doing the same weekend.
