The valance is done!

Not as well done as I had hoped, as the lining of the upper section got messed up and ended up a bit shorted while sewing it in. Note for next time I do a valance like this, to measure and pin the sections, both fashion fabric and lining, and carefully pin them together. I am so used to doing short sections by hand, not pins, that I didn't realize just how badly such long sections would get screwed by eyeballing the sewing.

Thankfully, steaming the sections has minimized the puckered look. And now I really understand why easing is great for shoulders and other curves, but is crappy for things that have to lie straight.

When we get this put up, there will be photos later. Next will be the long hanging panels that should be a whole lot easier to sew up, since there are no linings nor any piping to get in the way.
