wow
well i was just looking at one of my friends journals and i thought this was so amazing, im gonna put it for everyone to see::
i just got home from seeing the passion of the Christ.
all i could think about the whole time was "i did that to him..."
so violent, yet so real. satan didn't miss a beat. lusting away after hatred and sin. the tears flowed violently as we sat and watched Jesus hanging like a ragdoll being tossed back and forth by the wind. when it didn't seem as though he could go on anymore, he would stand up with what little quiet confidence he could muster up, for just a few more steps.
the grace of God is so great. He turned His back on the world why His one and only son died, so that we could live in paradise with Him, forever.
i've heard a lot of controversy regarding this film, already. critics choose to pick at minor details...things no one can ever really know without witnessing Jesus's crucifixion first hand. the fact of the matter is, this is a glimpse of what Christ had to go through to save us.
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
