Is There A Future For Apple?
I worried about the future of Apple when they lost the visionary Steve Jobs to pancreatic cancer, and for some time, it seemed like I was being proven wrong. Apple had gone on to launch some new products that got the markets quite excited.
Yet, the recent launch of the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C has me scratching my head. Sure, the iPhone 4S was not drastically different from the iPhone 4, so one should expect the iPhone 5S to be a radical departure from the iPhone 5, but the new features have left consumers and analysts underwhelmed.
However, it is not just the iPhone. The recently announced Mac Pro, while quite revolutionary in design, seriously flies in the face of many who use that sort of machine for work. Did they seriously read the market right by so severely limiting the amount of internal storage compared with the old models?
Has Apple truly lost its way? And is it time for me to move on? While I cannot see a ready replacement, I really see the defection coming...
