Work at Famous Barr today was interesting.
I was working in the "Handbags" department.
The geniuses that are Dooney and Bourke deserve some fucking credit. Who knew that you could take a cows skin, dye it in tacky colors with hearts, Ds, and Bs, decorate it with some flashy metal, call it a purse, and make $300 a pop??? If I'd known that was possible, I would have done it a long time ago.
And people wonder why our country is in a financial crisis...
It's because stupid rich ladies buy ugly purses that cost a buttload for themselves or their snotty daughters, simply because it's a "brand name." It's sick.
But yeah, I'm done at Famous Barr and tomorrow I start at The GAP! I'm excited.
I'm sad, though, because today at Famous I met this really awesome girl, Liz, who I had a really good time getting to know. But we agreed that we'd stop by eachother's work place and say "hi" whenever we can.
I have a feeling this Break is going to fly by and I'm not going to get any of the homework done that I need to. YARGH...
