Thanks to a friend I did get the Abridged Messiah CD back today;
it might have been better if I'd kept the project under my hat. The fidelity is predictably low, copied from a low-speed VHS tape; the strings are worse than I remembered ("better than I feared at first rehearsal" is not a high bar to have surmounted). And my part? no one's contract is in danger. Not deathless art.
My demo copy of the WireTap software has expired, so there's another barrier to getting around to finding a strategic snippet for you. It does seem like worthwhile software to pay for, if I had another project in mind.
Why was I so driven to do this? just because it could be done? What have I lost by it... more people than ever questioning my judgment? the price of a sushi dinner.
