Internet's back!

The internet has been down at my brother's place since Sunday night when the hella crazy thunderstorm hit. I just got it back a couple hours ago so here's an update on my weekend.

Saturday night I saw Batman Begins for the 5th time in the theaters, setting a new personal record for total amount of times I've watched any movie in the theaters. The previous record was held by two films, both seen 4 times each, Episode I and Spider-man. I went to Providence place to see it in the IMAX theater, marking the 2nd time I've seen it in IMAX, the first being in Natick. After the movie myself, Mikey & Stacey went to check out the waterfires as it is the season for those. They had never seen them before so I had some showing around to do, although I was very disappointed with the lack of street performers. This could have definitely been the fault of the excruciating heat that had been plaguing us all day. We couldn't even stay outside and walk around for too long because it was just unbearable.

I picked up Dane Cook's new masterpiece, Retaliation, at Newbury Comics for the low, low price of 13 bucks. Not bad at all for two CDs and a DVD. Just as with Harmful if Swallowed, it's hilarious! I recommend everyone give it a listen at some point.

Sunday night a massive thunderstorm (as stated above but referenced as "hella crazy") hit for about 30 mins of ear-piercing thunder and torrential downpour. As I was previously warned but didn't expect, the basement flooded. I spent about 90 minutes wet-vaccing the basement, emptying the 6-gallon container I don't know how many times. That sucked immensely. Oh well, it's over with and internet's back so I'm happy now.
