Yet another announcement
We're in the process of notifying authors of their nominations and awaiting their acceptances. With the US holiday, it might be a few more days before we post the list, so please be patient! :) In the meantime, you might start seeing banners on LJ from those who have already received their email and accepted their nominations. Just so you know, this round's final nominees are from 47 different authors, which is fabulous!
As for the DH-compliant category, thank you to everyone who answered the poll. After reading through comments and talking with a few trusted advisers, I thought long and hard yesterday about the most fair way to deal with the situation, as well as what would be best as far as maintaining the integrity of the SS/HG Awards. Given that the rules would have been vastly different (no time frame, no restrictions except for only story per author in the category), I feel the only fair way to deal with the situation is to cancel the category for this round and try again later. Thank you to those of you who nominated stories in that category ... please keep your lists for later!
And speaking of later ... there has been some discussion of the possibility of an art round in the spring. I'm thinking we could add our DH-compliant fic category during that time, as well, since the art round will have no time frames. What do you think? Good idea?
