So I've finally gotten back to West Palm Beach after spending Christmas with my family up in Trenton. I went up on Thursday Dec. 22nd. Hanging with my cousins Brook and Brad (with Brad's fiance Leslie). Me and my mom tried to get me a front grill guard from Southern Custom, but yet once again they messed things up, so I'll have to find a place down here in West Palm to get one. Christmas was fun with my parents, me having received a Gator foot ball jersery (more ju-ju for my boys), clothes, the new pirates of the caribbean movie, a knife from my dad, and gator chair. Me and my mom got my dad a super pass to the state parks of Florida, and he was totally excited about it. Then for my mom, I went and picked out something from the Thomas Kincade store (a really nice plate with some dogwood trees on it) and she mentioned that her and her sister had wanted the plate (way to score for the moms). Not being able to call anyone I text messaged a lot of my friends to wish them merry christmas, and got lots of responses back. We had christmas dinner at my parent's house with my mom's side of the family coming over, including my grandmother, aunt, couple of uncles and my cousin Jason. My aunt and uncle gave my a gator hat for christmas to go with my jersery. The day after christmas I went horseback riding with my dad, Brook, Uncle Chuck, Aunt Susan, and Uncle Randy. After riding for what seemed like years (ow, my butt and other none mentionable areas) I was very much ready for a much needed break and we got some lunch. After dropping Brook off at her house I decided to take a trip into Gainesville, to go return the jersery for a medium and to see Bradley at the movie theatre. I stopped off at the theatre to see Brad, with the joking remark of when he was going to set me up with Diana, the cute girl that works with him, telling him I would be back to see him later. I returned the jersey and when I came back to see him, he told me that Diana had asked him about me. I was all like, "A girl was actually interested in me?" Of course, not being very suave with the ladies, I had no idea what to do. But we were going to hang out after I watched one of the movies in the theatre ("the holiday" which, being a chick flick, I guess wasn't considerable that bad...). But after I get out of the movie, Brad's not there, and Diana and a couple of the other girls tell me he left early. I call him, before I leave and yell at him, of course not meaning a word of it. But after I got off the phone with him, I'm sitting out in my truck (which is running cause I was ready to leave), and sitting in the ticket window is Diana. So, doing something that I don't ever think I've done before, I went up to the ticket window and asked this girl out. I was a total goof, stumbling on the way there, tongue tied trying to talk to her, and then feeling like a total fool asking her out through the ticket window. But do you know what happened? She said she would love to go out the following night! I was in utter shock, thinking that she would just say no. Needless to say I was totally excited and the following night didn't come quick enough. So the next day came and me and Brook went over to Gainesville to hang out, consisting of her shopping in Best Buy, dinner at Texas Roadhouse, then a trip over to the Mall. In which I called Diana to set up plans for the date. And telling her that I would see her, I dropped Brook off at the Nextel store and ran up to the theatre to see her. I can only guess that the three girls (Diana included) were all talking about me cause they stopped talking when I came in and were total smiles (that weird smile when you know girls are up to something...). So I said hey and basically doubled confirmed our date. I went home, dropping Brook off and then going to get ready for the big "date." I had a lot of fun with Diana, consisting of us talking alot (about 5 to 6 hours). We started talking about school and ended up talking about life. She's been through a lot, including being hurt like me, so she knew where I was coming from on things. We went to eat and talked, went to shot some pool, but talked instead, and then when I took her home, we talked for what seemed like hours outside in my truck. At like 2:30 in the morning I told her that I had to go, but asked if the next time I was in town could we go out again, and she said yes! She seems really cool, but it's a shame that I don't live in Gainesville anymore. Unfortunately life doesn't seem to work in our best interests always (of course I've had lots of experience with this!). The next day saw me and my uncles Chuck and Randy taking my dad to the doctor (he fell off of a horse and hurt his back, thankfully nothing broken though). My mom got real upset and in turn made me upset, she just worrys about my dad, but can't find the words to express this to him, so I'm stuck with worrying about the both of them. After taking care of my dad, I decide to go over to Gainesville again to see a movie (well maybe not just a movie, maybe to drop in to see Diana as well) and buy a gator shirt for Joelle (she said she wanted one and none of her family bought her one). Unfortunately Diana had plans for after her shift at the movie theatre (but I did something that I haven't done in a long time, I bought her a single rose, just to say thanks for the wonderful evening the night before, she thought it was cute), but I watched "Eragon" (not the best movie, but free none the less). Then with Friday came the departure from my parent's and Gainesville. Another long drive back down to West Palm Beach..... I don't even want to get into my New Year's, which both had it's high points and low points, maybe some other time......
