There are a number of Japanese and Fusoian on board.

I'll admit I still don't understand where Zero is approaching this from. I saw the material from his trial, however...

Britannia is evil. As long as they continue to kill and oppress the Japanese, then we'll fight them. Zero is going to liberate Japan and take Britannia down for good.

The Strike Witches are a Brittanian-based unit. I'll tell you the same thing I've told Zero; I've not once experienced any prejudice. And I am Japanese.

However, if his evidence doesn't lie, then I can believe that there are corrupt people hidden among the country. I cannot imagine a country where corruption does not exist.

[[You're talkin about her superiors there lady. And don't forget the 14 year old pantsless sniper that took your man-thing down.]]

You must be pretty lucky, then. Living in Japan, I saw the prejudice every day. The only way I could escape it personally was by being half-Britannian.

And hidden corruption my ass. Just what exactly is "hidden" about defenseless civilians being gunned down by Britannian soldiers in broad daylight? I can tell you right now that those people didn't deserve to be slaughtered in the streets like cattle. But you can believe what you want.

[So the pilot of the Guren Mk-II was finally onboard the Chalice! It was finally a chance to meet the ace pilot with a machine that could match up against the Corona's HFM Blade... and surely they were a definite ace to use such a small machine so well! Of course that was before seeing that video...]

... Uh... hi.

I was actually hoping to meet you after that first run-in before. I just didn't expect someone so young...

Oh.

Were you the one piloting the machine with the weapon that seemed almost the same as the Guren's radiant wave surger? Except yours was a sword, right? After the battle, I couldn't help but wonder where you go ahold of that technology.

For once, let's have Julia not tell someone she's actually an alien curseu_reflexes September 17 2011, 05:11:48 UTC
Yeah, that was me! The technology's not as uncommon as you'd think either! Herrera Futuristics doesn't really "do" the whole beam weaponry thing. So instead, the melee weapon for the Corona is a high-frequency sword with microwave emitters on both sides of the blade.

By the way, my name's Julia Richardson.

But I'm definitely impressed by the Guren. Something so small being able to put up a fight like that against the Corona... admittedly just the advertising model, but it's still a powerful Prominence Armor. Whoever made the Guren should be really proud of themselves!

It'll spare her the "=o" reaction, certainly radiace September 18 2011, 23:00:46 UTC
Nice to meet you.

The Guren was designed by a woman named Rakshata Chawla--she came up with the idea for the radiant wave surger, too. It's probably the most powerful Knightmare Frame to come out of Japan. It was locally funded and built by the biggest of the Black Knight's sponsors. It's probably ten times better than the Knightmare I was using before.

Still, I'm not used to fighting with and against machines that are so big. Most of my battle experience comes from fighting other Knightmare Frames. But I'll get used to it, I think.

Greetings.

I'm First Lieutenant Forte Stollen, Angel Troupe. The giant railgun robot that was over your head today? That's mine.

Nice to meet you.

So you're that thing's pilot, huh? That's one scary machine. I don't envy anyone who has to go up against it.

It's large compared to a lot of what's around, for sure... I have to admit, if I had to work in any circumstance besides open air, it'd be virtually unusable.

The Guren has its restrictions, too. It's really only a land unit. Compared to machines that can fight underwater, or in space… there isn't a lot of terrain that it's suited for.

Kozuki huh?

[Michael grins at her and puts his hand out]

President Michael Wilson Jr. 47th President of Neo America. Pleasure to meet you.

And I'll say I'm just as glad we managed to save those people in time.

[She shakes his hand.]

As I said, you have my sincere gratitude, Mr… um…

Should I call you Mr. President?

Sure. Go ahead. Call me Michael if you want though.

We'll be working together a lot, so you'll probably be earning that privelage in no time flat.

Gotcha.

So, if you don't mind me asking… what is it that made you want to fight with White Chalice?

Yo. [leaning against the door to the mess.] You're that Black Knight girl, right? Come on in, I've got supper on the table.

Yeah. Kallen Kouzuki.

[She seems a bit surprised by the invitation, but hey--food.]

Have we met?

I was out there with the whole mess with Core. One of the Kamen Riders.

Right, of course.

That was really something. Between that and the, uh, dinosaurs… I'm sorry I couldn't help you guys out more, but the damn Britannians wouldn't leave those Japanese alone. I had my hands full on my end.
