Your grandfather was very much a mad scientist. His archnemesis somehow got through all of his life and got a doctorate with the last name Hell.

So yes. Sometimes real life is just like it is on TV. But more often than not, it isn't. No, it's even stranger.

Grandpa wasn't mad! He was just a scientist!

I never said it was a bad thing. Mad scientists always seem to be able to make amazing breakthroughs on a shoestring budget nine times out of ten.

But do admit it. The guy had a whole speech about a machine that could be a god or a devil. You don't get much more mad scientist-y than that.

... Okay, Dr. Hell's more mad scientist-y. I'll give you that much.

Anyone would talk like that when unveiling something as amazing as the Mazinger!

I'm not entirely sure of that. It's still an amazing machine though but something like that, made by just one man with a fantastic power source and it's somehow nigh invincible.

... But for what it's worth though, regardless of his sanity, from what I saw he was a great deal more affable than my old man. So he's not the worst scientist in the world.

That's right! You'd better not say anything bad about my grandpa to my face.

I really don't have any intent to. He's dead now, his only product I'm rather impressed with, and from what I can tell he was good to his relatives.

He's fine in my book.
