[You'll find Sora on the deck atop the still-stranded Chalice. She's dressed in a loose top and comfortable shorts, which is not at all her usual training attire. What's she up to...?] Okay, I think I've got them ready. I don't wanna cheat by having better-than-normal reflexes and such, so... [Without being in form, she struggles for a moment before a faint yellow glow comes to her hands.] If I did it right...
[She takes a running start, jumps off the side of the ship, and with a quick hand gesture a small yellow shield forms in front of her. It's... grooved, though, oddly. Probably not good for actual shielding, so why...?] Here we go! One! [She touches one foot onto the shield and pushes up, bouncing higher into the sky. With another wave of her hand, another shield appears in her flightpath.] Two! [And she jumps higher again, her face rapidly shifting from concern to exhilaration.] Three! Four! Five!
[The redhead's a little too busy to be paying attention to the ground, so she's not actively watching for spectators, but she can certainly hear you if you call to her. Or fly up to her, for that matter.]

[Come sunset, Sora's taking a break from her training, sitting on the rail of the deck, looking out at the horizon.]
It's been six months already... I feel like so much has changed already. But... what about me? I became a pilot because I wanted to change myself, but it feels like even as I get stronger... I'm the same person I was back then. Not entirely, but...
Do you really need to change-dechu?
[The sudden question from the mascot riding on her head gives her pause.] That's not exactly a fair question, POTPOURRI. Everyone changes, with time. And... I think somewhere deep down, I have to change at least somehow. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about it. [She sighs.] "Become someone who guides her future with her own two hands, Lira," he told me before I left. But... I'm not guiding my future. I'm letting everyone else carry me along. Yet at the same time, I've been up here all day because I wanted to get stronger and fight for what I want...
...ugh, this is confusing...

[In the room she shares with Hana and Eri, Sora can be found with her sketchpad, a drafting pen, and various colored implements. The design on the sketchpad, despite her general incompetence at this sort of work when it's not directly magical, is actually coming together, and starting to look like a decent mockup of modifications to Desu Itsuki. As she adds something else, she puts down her pen and gazes down at the pad.]
I know there's got to be some other way to use my shields to help me... but what? Maybe if I look through the older classes of Desu units, I'll find something...
