Am over the moon over finally finding a download of the entire Mana-Khemia OST, not just the selected tracks album that came with the game.

I'm split when it comes to character themes in videogames. I think it's really hit-and-miss if, not wether or not they're good, they actually represent and remind you of the character they're for. Writing a good song doesn't seem to be very rocket science to the great composers working with video games, but writing a fitting song is apparently a different story.

I'm not sure why I went on that tangent, because I don't think the Mana-Khemia OST has very many misses when it comes to character themes at all. Quite the opposite; they grab the general feel of the characters pretty well.

ALL THAT SAID. You know what themes for the main character in anime/games usually sound like? I find that more often than not they're either inspirational, sets a victorious or triumphant feel, badass or something like that.

With that in mind, listen to Vayne's theme. What kind of game do you think Mana-Khemia actually is?
