Hmm... after a long time I am pulling myself together to write something. Its really difficult, I enjoy reading more than writing. Anyways enough of complains, I had been to US for a couple of weeks. This was the first time I was flying outside my motherland ...
The long time in flight was weary but I was flying with my team mates that made the journey much more fun, though we were scattered in the flight we would gather when on the ground that was really refreshing. I spent my time watching movies in the flight and reading a few pages of Fourth Protocol, as this was the first time I was spending such a long time in the flight, I spent good amount of my time watching and analyzing the behavior of the people in the flight. One person next to me would simply eat, drink and sleep. A very few ever looked out of the window ... most of the windows remained closed almost always. I had good time watching the clouds and landscapes during the day.
When we reached SFO airport we were quite tired and most of my team mates were looking for a phone to call back to their homes... Finally we took the train and got to the place where we hired the cars and hit the road... So there I was on the roads of US! Hmm... my first impression of the nation was that it is made of cars, roads and buildings... It was like watching a cartoon movie those roads, cars and the way they drive ...
We checked into our hotel and freshened up a bit and then shot out again... the idea was no to surrender oneself to the jet lag. I swear I don'k really know what it is ... I mean I never felt it. We went into a few shopping malls ... that was just the begining ... most of our evenings were spent in shopping malls... I was just hanging out with them ... as I don't enjoy shopping and there was nothing much to do.
We went the Golden Gate Bridge and SFO downtown the next day ... the bridge is fascinating! A marvelous work of engineering. The cool sea breeze brushing your face is very sensuous, though the sound of the cars zipping on the metal studs on the road is maddening. The fort below the bridge is wonderful, I was impressed by the way they maintained it. Back home we disregard much more valuable and beautiful monuments, that's really sad.
Well as the sun set, I had completed my first week end and was ready to work for the week ahead.
