it's amazing how even natural disasters are now the president's fault. amazing. let's reply to this genuis micheal moore who wrote all of the paragraphs without stars before them as a letter to george bush, and see if he has any suggestions because im sure the genius himself could have easily avoided every bad aspect of this NATURAL disaster:
Any idea where all our helicopters are? It's Day 5 of Hurricane Katrina and thousands remain stranded in New Orleans and need to be airlifted. Where on earth could you have misplaced all our military choppers? Do you need help finding them? I once lost my car in a Sears parking lot. Man, was that a drag.
*well, let's see. where could our choppers be? hmmm quite a few could be rescuing people as you try to pathetically discredit bush. maybe the other half are...oh i dunno. in iraq? trying to est. a democracy for people who have been under gruesome control of a heartless dictatorship while you walk the red carpet and take in millions of dollars for making fun of our president...you have so much money and i dont see you buying out grocery stores to feed every stranded human being in louisianna right now which is how you naively expect our president to react...
Also, any idea where all our national guard soldiers are? We could really use them right now for the type of thing they signed up to do like helping with national disasters. How come they weren't there to begin with?
*right now the national guard is picking food out of their backyard farms to hand out to the victims of the hurricane all the while keeping order in every other area that the hurricane hit and while formulating their next move to determine how to get all these people out of louisianna and to shelter. they also have to evacuate the superdome if you didnt know, keep order in the streets from looters who are stealing from countless stores, OH and trying to make ways of transportation and routes since most of the roads are blocked or destroyed. i know we have an endless number of national guards who can teleport themselves to areas of disaster in a heartbeat and right now they're probably partying with bush somewhere ignoring this entire situation right?? i dont know but geez, if we're so short of help maybe you should consider doing something about it instead of writing silly letters to the pres. that he prob. wont see
Last Thursday I was in south Florida and sat outside while the eye of Hurricane Katrina passed over my head. It was only a Category 1 then but it was pretty nasty. Eleven people died and, as of today, there were still homes without power. That night the weatherman said this storm was on its way to New Orleans. That was Thursday! Did anybody tell you? I know you didn't want to interrupt your vacation and I know how you don't like to get bad news. Plus, you had fundraisers to go to and mothers of dead soldiers to ignore and smear. You sure showed her!
*you're right this is utterly ridiculous. a category 1 hurricane headed to new orleans and bush didnt do ANYTHING about it!? whoa whoa whoa....what happened to his presidential power to veto any hurricane that threatened land? wait a minute here...oh yeah and isnt it ridiculous that the hurricane decided to pick up at the last minute to a category 5? bush definitely had time to build a steel wall around the gulf coast and still go back to his vacation no matter what anyone says. and GEEZ! thursday?? he sure did know sooner than the rest of us.
I especially like how, the day after the hurricane, instead of flying to Louisiana, you flew to San Diego to party with your business peeps. Don't let people criticize you for this -- after all, the hurricane was over and what the heck could you do, put your finger in the dike?
*if he had flown to louisiana im sure he could have saved alot of lives if he had just stuck his finger in that dike. that would have solved everything right there. oh and im sure he had a giddy ol' time partying with his BUSINESS "PEEPS"????
And don't listen to those who, in the coming days, will reveal how you specifically reduced the Army Corps of Engineers' budget for New Orleans this summer for the third year in a row. You just tell them that even if you hadn't cut the money to fix those levees, there weren't going to be any Army engineers to fix them anyway because you had a much more important construction job for them -- BUILDING DEMOCRACY IN IRAQ!
*i know for a fact that bush knew there would be a category 1 hurricane that would over night ostrasize into a category 5 and totally wipe out louisiana. and i know for sure that if he had fixed those levees that were functioning efficiently before hand, the hurricane would not have affected louisiana at all.
On Day 3, when you finally left your vacation home, I have to say I was moved by how you had your Air Force One pilot descend from the clouds as you flew over New Orleans so you could catch a quick look of the disaster. Hey, I know you couldn't stop and grab a bullhorn and stand on some rubble and act like a commander in chief. Been there done that.
*HELLO!? it was flooded everywhere! skyscrapers are flooded up to their 17th floors and even if he had stood on rubble it would have had to of been the top of a high rise building AND even then im SURE you would have complained about bush thinking he was too high and mighty to walk on water for the little peole.
There will be those who will try to politicize this tragedy and try to use it against you. Just have your people keep pointing that out. Respond to nothing. Even those pesky scientists who predicted this would happen because the water in the Gulf of Mexico is getting hotter and hotter making a storm like this inevitable. Ignore them and all their global warming Chicken Littles. There is nothing unusual about a hurricane that was so wide it would be like having one F-4 tornado that stretched from New York to Cleveland.
*right and bush paid no attention to this when he supported the mandatory evacuation of every citizen in louisiana.
No, Mr. Bush, you just stay the course. It's not your fault that 30 percent of New Orleans lives in poverty or that tens of thousands had no transportation to get out of town. C'mon, they're black! I mean, it's not like this happened to Kennebunkport. Can you imagine leaving white people on their roofs for five days? Don't make me laugh! Race has nothing -- NOTHING -- to do with this!
*it is bush's fault that all these people are poor. it's also his fault that they're black. before the george w. bush administration, all of louisiana was rich and white. not one poor black person. in fact if i do recall correctly, bush was the one that invented poor black people. and no, i CANNOT imagine leaving white people on their roofs for 5 DAYS! OH WAIIIIT... it happened to them too! do you even watch the news michael moore? you're personal edited and biased news station doesnt count just to let you know. you need to watch the ones with all the facts..facts that are true, not false..there's a difference b/w those two words.
You hang in there, Mr. Bush. Just try to find a few of our Army helicopters and send them there. Pretend the people of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast are near Tikrit.
*oh he will, because he doesnt care about our people in louisiana. he hasnt sent out any type of help for these people and he definitely didnt declare this a national disaster or start any kind of national relief effort. that would be silly. he's definitely more worried about tikrit!? he's not concerned, hes only our president.
you know, it is amazing how people try to find any reason to blame the president for ANYTHING bad that happens to this country for 911. he blames the president for poverty, he blames the president for the worlds poverty, gas prices, racism, poor education, and now it's gotten so bad that he's being blamed for natural disasters. where was michael moore to criticize the presidential administration when andrew hit florida? it has become clear to me that michael moore is not here to help anyone or to defend any citizen. he simply puts in his silly, unsupportable, make believe two cents because for some reason, a reason i cannot comprehend because he has no solid facts to back it up, he hates bush. simple as that. michael moore is probably angry at bush for having to sell everything he owned to make his first unsuccessful documentary. and for being fat.
Yours TRULY,
elizabeth anaheim
