After bopping around Firefly fandom and reading some fics, I seem to have reaffirmed my belief that, as a general rule, literature-based fandoms end up with better fic. In other words: it's damn hard to find good fic in movie/tv based fandoms. And somehow this must be because it's easier for most people to write in-character if they already know ( Read more... )
