New Year's Day...again.
I can't believe New Year's is over. After weeks of sort-of preparing. And how ironical that the Yale application was due the 31st and everything else today. I though I was going to implode yesterday, I was so nervous. In proper form, I'm still finishing everything today for the applications due today. I think the party went ok. It was the oddest group of people. Especially my brother's crunk neighbor. I hope Heather and Caroline weren't put off by all the drunk people and what not. i don't think it was the party they were expecting. It wasn't what I was expecting either though. Justin came. Mara is still trying to set us up. My family thought he was dorky, which is fitting.
The whole thing made me think about New Year's last year. Luke was there, and Jonathon, even though Emily was in Hawaii, not wearing any pants. I haven't talked with any of them in months. It's sad, because losing Emily really means losing two friends, since she and Jon are essentially one person. And next year, what will that be like? Who will be here? Everyone will be away at college. I had to blow everyone off this break because of the surgery, so I'm hoping I still have friends next week, let alone next year. I guess everything works out in the end, like Justin coming at the last minute.
