Other News
Today I saw the play my best friend has written music for! It's Charles Dickens' The Haunting and it's touring the UK at the moment. She interned with the director for a summer and has done quite a bit of work with him since. Anyway the play was really good and the music succesfully made everyone jump several times throughout! It was quite Danny Elfman style I think. She's someone to keep an eye on I reckon. She's already written two musicals and the latest is being edited in preparation for a reading. I had the honour of being one of her betas- really looking forward to seeing it on stage one day!
In other news I've been looking after two dogs for a friend. They are huskey-wolf type crosses, two sisters Tikki and Nuka. Tikki means wolf and Nuka means little sister ('cos she's the younger one). They're only a year old so they're still quite boistrous but also quite big! Between the two of them they weigh the same amount as I do which makes walking them hard work!
In other other news I went to a memorial service for an unborn baby on Wednesday. The father is a good friend of mine, it was obviously pretty devastating. He was really looking forward to having a son. We were all looking forward to it too. He would have been the first of us to have a child.
