Colorado Rockies / Taking Tank to the emergency vet / Av's disappointment

So here is a picture of my favorite baseball player, the Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki. He is so cute!! We got such awesome seats at the baseball game on April 7th. It was awesome because Ricky called me at like 4pm saying we got tickets to the game. And that we had to leave right after I got off work because the first 30,000 people to the game got the National League champions replica ring as a gift. I was pretty stoked on that! Ricky packed plenty of stuff to keep me warm - extra hoodies, a blanket, and hand warmers. Plus an umbrella in case it snowed (which was in the forecast that day, ick). He takes such good care of me!! I definitely used the hand warmers... by the end of the night we had used up 8 of them! Ha.

The game was awesome and we won! We were trailing behind the Braves for like the whole game but then Matt Holiday hit a run near the end. It was so cool. But the best part of the whole night was that Ricky and I were in seats where we were on TV for a lot of the game lol. My boss/friend Millie called me and said that I'd better not pick my nose because we were on TV whenever there was a right-handed batter! Awesome! She taped it and now we just have to convert it to DVD to watch it.

And of course, we got the little rings too which are pretty awesome. Ricky and I are thinking about selling ours or something to make a little money towards the house. I heard people were paying like $100 for them on ebay! Speaking of ebay, we have a ton of things to sell on Craigslist this weekend. We really have to remember to post all that stuff. We have to do it on Thursday night though because Friday night we are going to the Mammoth game (yay).

So, little Tankie got into some grapes Friday night and I didn't really know how many it was that she had eaten. We were kind of nervous. But she seemed OK throughout the night so we thought everything was alright... then yesterday (Sunday) morning, she was having really bad diarrhea and throwing up. So I thought maybe the grapes were killing her since they cause renal failure in dogs. I rushed her to the vet at like 6:30 am. Besides the throwing up and stuff, she was acting like herself - way excited to be at the vet! Which really was a huge relief to me. The doctor said she isn't having any abdominal pain, her temperature was normal, and she definitely was not acting like a dog with renal failure or intestinal blockage. I asked the doctor if she could run some bloodwork just to make sure Tank's kidney, pancreas, and liver function were all OK.

They sent us home with meds to help Tank's tummy to feel better, and digestive tract food that will be easy on her for the next 5 days. Then I got a call a couple hours later saying all her bloodwork was normal. I AM SO HAPPY. My poor baby. I was so scared that we had made a big mistake that was going to end up costing her life. I would have never been able to forgive myself... and I can only imagine how Ricky would have felt.

So on Friday, Britt called me and invited me to the Colorado Avalanche game... which I was TOTALLY stoked about.... and Ricky and I ended up finding these Av hoodies at Wal-Mart that were a fantastic price. Then when we went to check out, it came up at half of the price we thought it would be... so Ricky told me to run back and grab an extra one for Britt since she was nice enough to take me to the game. So I did, and then I texted her to let her know.... and then she tells me she sold the tickets!! I was like noooooooooo. Ergh -_-
