Families
I'm wondering how you could effectively maintain the family unit when you have, say, seven kids and dad works all day. How can you be one mom at home with seven kids, and give each of them the attention he or she needs? I know large families aren't a new concept, but I really wonder how they work.. Like when dad gets home and is tired and just wants dinner, and mom is trying to feed everyone, and one kid needs disciplined, let's say ... how does that happen? I'd be willing to say that it is easy to let that slip through the cracks. You think "oh I'll get to him later; we need to talk about that once his father gets home" but then it's one thing after another until finally everyone's in bed and you start the next day over again.
Being one of two kids, and not knowing too many large families, it's a little mysterious to me how it can work.
We didn't go to the treehouse last night. When this silly cold is gone, then we'll go :)
