Animal Crossing

Why in the hell is this game fun? It makes no logical sense. It begins with your character having a mortgage and a shack for a house. Most of the NPC's are either rude or fairly indifferent to you. I'm supposed to write messages that are exciting for advertisement for a shop called 'Nook's Cranny.' People can be embarassed by the letters I send them, and as reward for doing errands I'm getting furniture, carpet, and stationary. Cherries are worth an astonishing price of $100 each. The game time and date is exactly the same as it is in real life. I'm supposed to develop a sense of fashion... The game demands more out of your character than your own life does. How the hell does the game know whether what I'm writing and wearing is good or not? It makees no sense.

So why am I enjoying it? It's fun. For some odd reason, it's fun. I played for 2 hours straight and barely noticed the time lapse until the clock at the bottom told me I had. This is very strange.

Veterans of this strange phenomona: What would you suggest to make the quickest buck? It seems that seashells and cherries go over pretty well at Nook's. Any other hidden gems, so to speak? Oh, and what do you do once you get stung by bees?
