What is "there", exactly?

So Adam Lambert has decided to tell everyone, via Rolling Stone, that he's gay. Mazel Tov. I mean, I sort of thought he was based on his stereotypical appearance, photos of him in drag, etc. But I absolutely hated his singing voice the whole damn season regardless of his sexuality. I suppose it's an interesting social question, wondering if he lost BECAUSE people suspected he was gay, but other than that, blah.

And when I read online about his interview with RS I found another reason not to like him.

"I loved it this season when girls went crazy for me," he says. "As far as I'm concerned, it's all hot. Just because I'm not sticking it in there doesn't mean that I don't find it beautiful."

OK, I'm probably being a complete nutjob here, but since when are girls/women just a place to stick it? I mean, I guess extra points for saying they're beautiful, but...this just made me go, "WTF?" I think he was trying to be complimentary, but his choice of words really bugs me.
