Mike and I decided to watch the White Sox game (woo! go Sox!) and then watch Lost immediately after on tape. The game ended at 8:40, so I went to read for a bit while he watched postgame. As I came out of the bedroom, he was crouched in front of the VHS with a sheepish looks on his face.
"The tape ran out," he said apologetically. "I tried to switch tapes quickly, but we may have missed some of Lost towards the end."
I was upset, but not crazily so (much to my surprise). So we're watching the episode and then it gets to the much anticipated scene where Desmond finally recognizes Jack while he's running through the jungle, right before the episode ended. Desmond asked Jack, "So is your wife dead?" The camera cut to Jack, who opened his mouth to answer, and then the VHS tape ended.
I literally screamed, "NOOOOOOOOOOO!" at the top of my lungs.
When Mike put the second tape in, it picked up a few seconds later in the scene and I didn't know what Jack had said. After checking lost_tv's post, I don't think I missed anything, but I mean, wow. What a time for the tape to stop! Also that Michelle Rodriguez, what a bitch! I knew right away that her story for escaping the crash was bullshit. I want to punch that chick in the mouth. And Jin, with the English? What is this? Ingles sin Barreras!Island?
